Nona's Story:
Nona, a 5 month old lab mix, was hit by a truck which did not stop. The woman in the car behind did stop. Nona was hurt, and her mother was killed in the accident. Nona ended up at New Hope Animal Rescue, and was unable to stand or use her back legs. You may have seen her story in The Gleaner or on Channel 25. New Hope volunteers raised enough money to get Nona's much-needed surgery to repair 3 broken bones. The surgery was performed by Dr. Maulk, a highly recommended orthopedic veterinarian. She can now expect to live a normal life.
Bobbi and Hal Branson have given Nona a wonderful place in their home to heal and recuperate. Now she runs around and plays. Ann Denton, Pam Thomas and The Bransons, Nona's guardians, recommend that Nona have a "gentle" home; she can't withstand a lot of rough play. (like a child trying to ride her)
Nona is house-broken, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations. She is sweet beyond belief, and ready for a good "inside" home--with a fenced-in yard.
If you are interested in adopting this Special Girl, call us to arrange a meeting.
